(Italiano) La Stagione 2011/2012 della Fondazione del Teatro Stabile di Torino si apre nuovamente con il Festival Prospettiva ideato e diretto da Mario Martone e Fabrizio Arcuri.
Dopo il successo degli scorsi anni, la terza edizione del Festival, sempre più ricca di ospitalità internazionali, sarà dedicata al tema degli “stranieri in patria”.
La rassegna, programmata a Torino dall’11 ottobre al 3 novembre 2011, perseguendo l’idea di non siglare il festival con un ordine numerico consecutivo, sarà caratterizzata dal 150, evidenziando come sempre la scelta di senso che ha accompagnato la sua programmazione.

I’m a Stranger in My Own Country
Hotel Methuselah is a story about a crisis of belonging. It is performance that centres on a man who has lost his memory – he literally does not belong anymore.
I came to theatre as an outsider. I studied graphic arts. I never had a proper theatre or drama education. When I and other friends started to make performances in the beginning of the eighties, we did it with our own money and without any links to the existing theatre field.

A stranger in one’s own country: I try to reconcile these two clearly irreconcilable concepts, but do not succeed.
Avrà inizio alle ore 12.00 la conferenza Stampa di Presentazione di Prospettiva150 – stranieri in patria presso il Teatro Gobetti di Torino.
Venerdì 16 settembre alle ore 18.30, presso il Teatro India di Roma, si terrà la presentazione del libro Prospettiva. Materiali Intorno alla rappresentazione della realtà in età contemporanea edito da Titivillus e curato da Fabrizio Arcuri e Ilaria Godino.
Alla presentazione interverranno i curatori insieme a Mario Martone, Viviana Gravano e Lorenzo Pavolini.

A stranger in one’s own country: that is probably the condition that the Teatro di Figura is in. Marionettes, shadows and objects are an “elsewhere” that reveals to us in a mirror that is truthful at times and deformed at others, an “other” world which captures and draws attention to the dark side, the passions, the contradictions, the anxieties and the happiness of man, knowing how to laugh and cry about them at the same time.”

The question is: “What is the concept of nation in the President?” These women have little sense of patriotism, but even in a stereotyped way, hold it and this is the first element, because when I am not free from ‘national belonging, nor the practice are consciously disoriented.
