Ambra Senatore lavora in Italia e in Francia dal 1997, affiancando esperienze attoriali a quelle didanzatrice. Formatasi con Raffaella Giordano e Carolyn Carlson, ha collaborato con Giorgio Rossi, Jean Claude Gallotta, Roberto Castello, Marco Baliani e Georges Lavaudant. Commenta così il proprio lavoro: «Tendo a sfuggire le definizioni e dunque evito di incasellare un lavoro in un unico genere. Questo mi accade anche da spettatrice, per la danza come per il teatro. Non mi interessa ribadire la provenienza dall’ambito coreografico, ma se rifletto su come costruisco i miei spettacoli, nella mia relativamente breve esperienza di autrice, è evidente che parto dal corpo». Passo, progetto vincitore del Premio Equilibrio 2009 dell’Auditorium della Musica di Roma, debutterà nella sua forma definitiva nel febbraio 2010, sempre all’Auditorium.

Ambra Senatore has been working in Italy and France since 1997, combining experience as an actress and as a ballerina. After training with Raffaella Giordano and Carolyn Carlson, she worked with Giorgio Rossi, Jean Claude Gallotta, Roberto Castello, Marco Baliani and Georges Lavaudant. She made the following comment on her work: “I tend to avoid definitions and so I avoid cataloguing a work in a particular genre. I do the same thing as a spectator, with dance and the theatre. I am not interested in underlining their origins in a choreographic context, but if I think about how I construct my projects, in my relatively short experience as an author, it is obvious that I start from the body.” Passo, the project that won the 2009 Premio Equilibrio of the Music Auditorium of Rome, will debut in its definitive form in February 2010, at the Auditorium.
