Troubleyn, la compagnia teatrale di Jan Fabre, presenta Orgy of Tolerance, fotografia a più livelli dell’appiattimento della società tardocapitalista in uno stato di degrado che trasforma l’individuo in consumatore. Ovunque, ammiccamenti al mondo dell’eccesso, alla spinta all’acquisto che ciascuno percepisce come ineluttabile. Musica, danzatori e attori disegnano uno schizzo della società odierna, riflettendo sulla brama di eccesso: calcando sui tasti dell’assurdo e del surreale, la performance esplora la tensione strisciante nella cultura della carta di credito, in cui cose e persone sono in vendita, ma si bandisce ogni deviazione dalla norma. Artista visivo, coreografo, regista, scrittore, Jan Fabre è da oltre vent’anni una delle personalità più rilevanti della scena europea, promotore di una ricerca artistica completa, tesa ad oltrepassare con pervicace spirito di provocazione le barriere espressive e morali del suo tempo.

Troubleyn, Jan Fabre’s theatre company, presents Orgy of Tolerance, a photograph on several levels of the levelling of late capitalist society in a state of decay that transforms the individual into a consumer. Everywhere there are allusions to the world of excess, and to the urge to purchase that we all perceive as unavoidable. Music, dancers and actors draw a sketch of modern society, reflecting on our striving for excess: pressing on the keys of the absurd and the surreal, the performance explores the insidious stress in the credit card culture, where things and people are on sale, but every deviation from the norm is forbidden. A visual artist, choreographer, director and writer, for over twenty years Jan Fabre has been one of the most significant figures on the European stage, promoting complete artistic experimentation, to overcome the expressive and moral barriers of his time with a perceptive spirit of provocation.
