Questi “appunti” nascono nel dicembre 2005 dall’incontro di Ascanio Celestini con gli operatori del call center più grande d’Italia, l’Atesia. La precarietà è la condizione che accomuna pressoché tutti i lavoratori, organizzati in un collettivo che cerca di sondare le pieghe della legge Biagi, allo scopo di comprendere la validità dei contratti sottoscritti. Queste vite a progetto rimangono tali negli anni, nonostante i cambi di governo e le sentenzel egislative, e Celestini segue e aggiorna il proprio lavoro con l’evoluzione della vicenda dei lavoratori Atesia, tristemente simile a quella di migliaia di altri. Celestini è considerato uno dei più significativi rappresentanti della seconda generazione del cosiddetto “teatro di narrazione”.

These “Appunti”, or notes, were the result of a meeting between Ascanio Celestini and the operators of Italy’s largest call centre, Atesia, in December 2005.Uncertainty is the condition shared by nearly all the workers, who have set up a consortium to try to find a way through the meanders of Italy’s “Biagi” law, in order to understand the validity of the contracts they have signed. These lives punctuated by projects remain the same over the years, in spite of changes of government and legal rulings, and Celestini follows and updates his own work to reflect the lives of the Atesia employees, which is sadly similar to that of thousands of others. Celestini is considered one of the most significant representatives of the second generation of the so-called “narrative theatre”.
